Accessing our bait sites is easy with side-by-sides, allowing you to minimize walking if you prefer. Located in a predator control unit, this hunt allows the opportunity to harvest up to two bears per year. Hunting is conducted primarily from side-by-sides, giving us the ability to cover country efficiently and adapt quickly when conditions change. We use the quiet stealth of rafts to access prime fishing holes where big bruins come to feed. For hunters seeking more adventure, a hike into the berry fields above the river can be just as productive. Afternoons often bring world-class fishing—trophy rainbow trout, char, and grayling are common, and when the salmon runs are strong, the action can be non-stop.
These hunts are true wilderness expeditions. You can expect to break and move camp every three to four days as we follow the river and adapt to bear activity. Multiple bush flights are required after arriving in Anchorage, putting you deep into untouched country. Camps are equipped with quality tents and cots, and meals are a mix of fresh and freeze-dried foods, always with plenty of snacks to keep you fueled.
